On Monday, 11 August 2025, a SOCATA TBM700N (TBN850), N860CA, arrived from Pullman-Moscow Airport, WA, with four people onboard. While landing on Runway 13, the aircraft stalled just before the threshold, hitting the runway hard on its left main gear. The gear partially collapsed, causing structural failure of the left wing and rupturing the left fuel tank.
Fuel spilled out and immediately ignited. The SOCATA veered off the runway into the grass and struck a parked, unoccupied Piper PA-28 Cherokee Warrior (N151MM), spinning it around and damaging its horizontal stabilizer. The Piper then hit a parked Cessna Citation CJ, damaging its right aileron.
Still burning, the SOCATA continued across the apron, colliding with a parked Swearingen SX-300 and setting it ablaze. The SOCATA came to rest next to a CX-400, with both ultimately destroyed by fire. An adjacent Cessna 172 also suffered severe heat damage to its left wing.
Occupants: All four in the SOCATA escaped with only minor cuts and bruises.
